Medieval Ypres (English)

As a Flemish city, Ypres was very important economically in the period 1100 – 1400: the city became rich and flourished and that had a lot to do with the cloth industry. On this walk you will learn what there was to do around that cloth and also how Ypres became a city of cats. Eye-catchers are the Cloth Hall, St. Martin’s Church, the many beautiful stately guild houses in the center, but also some typical alleys. Are you joining our medieval guide?
