The Ypres night watch takes you on a walk through the dark Ypres. You start at the Cloth Hall and end at the Casemates, well in time for the Last Post at the Menin Gate nearby. You will pass beautiful, but also dark corners in the city center of Ypres and around the fortresses, but each with a fascinating story.

Once the curfew had sounded, no one was allowed to go out on the streets, under penalty of a heavy fine. It was the job of the Night Watch to scour the streets looking for raucous odor.
